Tozen fights back against Gaba’s vicious penalties

そごう・西武労働組合のストライキの支持表明 Tozen Supports the Sogo Seibu Strike
東ゼン労組は、そごう・西武労働組合（寺岡泰博執行委員長）が、本日、2023年8月31日のストライキ権行使を通知したとの報道を受け、同じく連合傘下の労働組合として、当該ストライキを全面的に支持することをここに表明します。 親会社セブン＆アイ・ホールディングスは、そごう・西武を米投資ファンドのフォートレス・インベストメント・グループに売却することを決定しましたが、組合は労働者の雇用の喪失を強く懸念し、売却に反対の意思を示しています。近年企業買収の動きが活発化していますが、その過程で労働者の声がかき消されるようなことは断じて許されません。労働者を軽視した経営陣の強引な姿勢に対しては、ストライキ権を行使し徹底的に闘うべきであり、今回、勇気をもってストライキを決意したそごう・西武労働組合に対して、深甚の連帯を示したいと思います。 東ゼン労組も現在、多くの支部で組合員たちがストライキを打って闘っています。大手デパートでは1962年の阪神百貨店以来、実に60年ぶりといわれる今回のストライキ。職種は違えども、同じ労働者として心は常に共に、労働者の権利を守り抜くために最後まで闘う所存です。 全国一般東京ゼネラルユニオン（東ゼン労組） （連合東京加盟） 執行委員長 奥貫 妃文

Gaba signs historic strike-rights deal with Union
On Dec. 14, 2022, Tozen Union, Gaba Workers Union and Gaba Corporation signed a deal recognizing the right of Gaba teachers to strike for better conditions, a long-running point of dispute in the Tokyo and National Labor Commissions. (Yosuke Ishii signed for management, while Musashi Sakazaki and Louis Carlet signed on behalf of the union.)

シェーン英会話講師、スト権行使拡大
２０１９年１２月２１日、シェーン英会話スクールの今年最後のレッスン日、東ゼン労組シェーン労働組合の組合員たちは、雇用の安定、社会保険への加入、全従業員の賃金３％引き上げ等の要求実現に向け、ストライキを起こした。このストライキは、５年間の労働紛争の歴史の中でも最も大きなストライキとなった。 シェーン英会話スクールにとって土曜日というのは一番忙しい曜日であり、講師の出勤人数も週の中では最大であるため、代わりの講師を手配するのが難しい曜日でもある。 カバー講師も含め計１３人もの組合員がスト権を行使した。同ストライキにより、数々のスクールでスケジュールの混乱や授業の休講が発生した。 同組合および支部は、これまでシェーン英会話スクールと数多くの団体交渉や事務折衝を行ってきたが、要求実現に対する進歩は見られないままであったため今回のストライキを決行した。今回のストライキで新たな組合員も一人加わった。

東京都労働委員会は今日、英会話スクールのGABAに対し、講師達のストライキ権を認めなければならないと命令を下した。 2016年に、東ゼン労組と同組合の支部であるGABA労働組合は、ストライキを打った講師陣に対し発行された警告書を撤回するよう、救済を申し立てた。 詳細はこちらをご覧ください。
